Our work

The science has changed. The software has changed. But training often hasn’t.

TEAL provides hands-on, modern instruction for natural resource professionals—bridging the gap between academic foundations and applied workflows in R, GIS, and Earth observation.

R for applied ecology

We provide hands-on R training tailored to your workflows—data wrangling, visualization, spatial analysis, modeling, and reporting. Sessions emphasize reproducible practices (projects, version control, documentation) and real datasets, so participants leave with code they can immediately reuse and adapt.

Google Earth Engine (GEE)

We train teams to build end-to-end Google Earth Engine workflows - from processing and analyzing satellite data, index workflows, classification/regression modeling, change detection, and exporting decision-ready products. Training is built around your region and use cases, emphasizing efficient, reproducible scripts and workflows you can maintain after we’re gone.

Statistics & experimental design

Design it right before you collect it: we help teams design studies that produce clear, defensible answers—sampling design, effort allocation, power/precision planning, and measurable success criteria. We also provide statistical strategy and interpretation (not just code): selecting appropriate models, clarifying assumptions, handling bias and uncertainty, and translating results into decisions stakeholders can actually use.
